“My favorite feature of the house is its openness – the drama of walking into the tight, maze-like entrance and then finding yourself in the bright, spacious living room. I often hear an intake of breath as guests round the corner and enter the room. They’re amazed that they’re able to walk through the whole house, not just peer over ropes and stanchions. They experience the house as it was when the Mays lived there. It is complete. Therefore, the guests’ experience is complete.”
